ದಂಡಿಕೆರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜೆಎಸ್ ಎಸ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಮುದಾಯ‌‌‌ ವೈದ್ಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದಿಂದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಶಿಬಿರ

ಮೈಸೂರು,ಮಾರ್ಚ್,15,2025 (www.justkannada.in):  ಕುಟುಂಬ ದತ್ತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಜೆಎಸ್ಎಸ್ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಸಮುದಾಯ ವೈದ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗವು, ವರುಣ ಹೋಬಳಿಯ ದಂಡಿಕೆರೆ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಚಿತ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಇಂದು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿತ್ತು.

ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಬಸವೇಶ್ವರ ಮಠದ ಮಠಾಧೀಶ  ಬಸವಲಿಂಗ ಸ್ವಾಮೀಜಿ , ವರುಣ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ವೈದ್ಯಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಡಾ. ಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ. ನಾಗೇಂದ್ರ,  ಸುಧಾ ಮತ್ತು  ಶೈಲಾ ಅವರು ಔಪಚಾರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.

ಈ ಶಿಬಿರವನ್ನು ಸಮುದಾಯ ವೈದ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕಿ ಡಾ. ಮೈಥಿಲಿ ಎಂ. ಆರ್; ಹಿರಿಯ ನಿವಾಸಿ ಡಾ. ಕಾವ್ಯ ಜಿ. ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಾ ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಮುದಾಯ ವೈದ್ಯಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು , ವರುಣ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ, ಆಶಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತೆಯರು, ಅಂಗನವಾಡಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಬೆಂಬಲಿಸಿದರು. ಶಿಬಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 120 ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರನ್ನು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯವಾಗಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಯಾದೃಚ್ಛಿಕ ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿನ ಸಕ್ಕರೆಯ ಅಂದಾಜು, ಮೂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿನ ಗ್ಲೂಕೋಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೀಟೋನ್ ಅಂದಾಜು, ಬಿಪಿ ಮಾಪನ , ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ ತನಿಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಔಷಧಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಹ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.

ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಪರಿಸರ ಪೋಷಣೆ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು, ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್‌ನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅದರ ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಫಲಾನುಭವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಮೂಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು ಮತ್ತು ಜನರಿಂದ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಟ್ಟೆ ಚೀಲಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸುವ ಉಪಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು.

ENGLISH SUMMARY..

As a part of the Family Adoption Program, a Health Camp was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, Mysuru on 15.03.2025 at Basaveshwara mutt, Dandikere village, Varuna hobli. The health camp was formally inaugurated by Basaveshwara mutt seer Sri Basavalinga Swamiji, Varuna PHC Medical Officer, Dr. Prasad, Gram panchayat members of the area namely Sri. Nagendra, Smt. Sudha and Smt. Shaila. The camp was coordinated by Dr. Mythily M. R, Asst. Professor; Dr. Kavya G Upadhya, Senior Resident, Department of Community Medicine and was supported by the Post Graduates and Medico Social Workers of the department, Varuna PHC staff, Asha Workers, Anganwadi teacher, and the local leaders. The total number of beneficiaries of the camp were 120. They were clinically examined and Lab Investigations like Random Blood Sugar estimation, urinary glucose and ketone estimation, BP measurement and Blood Hemoglobin estimation were done. Medications were also dispensed to the beneficiaries. Along with this, environmental sustenance activity was conducted wherein awareness sessions regarding the health effects of plastics and its prevention was given to the benficiaries and an initiative was undertaken wherein plastic bottles were collected from people and in return cloth bags were distributed.
