Bengaluru, Dec. 30, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Forest Minister Anand Singh today informed that the tiger reserve parks in the State would be given a high-tech touch.
The 11th Tiger Conservation Foundation Board meeting was held at the Vidhana Soudha, in Bengaluru today. Addressing the meeting he said, the tiger reserve parks would be developed by giving a technological touch. “There are 12 tigers in 100 sq. ft area in the Nagarahole tiger reserve park. Karnataka is in third place in the country in terms of number of tigers. Hence, there is a need to conserve and strive to increase the number. A shed has been built in Nagarahole, by the Nagarahole Tiger Conservation Foundation especially to protect cows from tigers,” he said and instructed the officials concerned to take measures to ensure that nobody misuses the shed.
