Mysuru, Jan. 30, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “Within the next 20 years, in our country we may be jailed if we tell the name of Mahatma Gandhiji. If we don’t realize this and act we might have to repent in the future,” lamented Dr. G. Ramakrishna Cultural thinker.
He participated in a program held at the Gandhi Bhavan in Mysuru, on the occasion of the 73rd Sarvodaya DaAy today.
In his address he said, “Today Gandhiji is being theoretically killed. We can see people with such a mindset. We have to fight with such people,” he said.
“We will remember Gandhiji only on October 2, and January 30. Even his haters will praise him on these two days. Today we are in such a situation where we are scared to speak about community. We have experienced what happened to Hampa Nagarajaiah,” he added.
“Intolerance and inequality are very dangerous. We have to find a path to remove this. Today, we are in a situation without equal opportunity and facilities, whereas we have agreed equal competition. In such a situation is it possible to think everyone should improve equally?,” he questioned.
Mysore City Corporation retired Sanitization Dafedar Kamala was felicitated on this occasion.
