Mysuru, November 8, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): A retired officer of the Central Intelligence Bureau – IB was killed in an accident in the Manasa Gangotri campus in Mysuru, on November 4, Friday evening. The Jayalakshmipuram police have been successful in nabbing two persons in this case.
The family members of R. N. Kulkarni, a retired IB officer who died in the accident had alleged that the accident was purposeful and a murderous act. A special police force was pressed into service to investigate the case. A person named Madappa, was a neighbour of the deceased R.N. Kulkarni. The duo had a quarrel regarding construction of the house by the former. Taking the clue, the police have been successful in nabbing two persons in the case. Manu (30), son of Madappa, a contractor and his friend Varun are the two persons who have been held.
Manu and his friend Varun had observed R.N. Kulkarni’s movement. They had noticed that he used to go walking generally in the place where the incident took place. Accordingly, the duo planned to kill him. It is said that Manu made the plan even without informing his father Madappa. Tracing the CCTV footage the police grew suspicious on two persons who had visited the spot in a two-wheeler, where one person is showing the place. The police grew suspicious and held the duo and interrogated, following which they confessed. Further investigation and interrogations are on.
