Mysuru, October 17, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “This is a program that unites two countries and is a symbol of peace, brotherhood and harmony,” observed Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore.
He participated in a program titled, “Relation of India-Bangaldesh-International Peace and Awareness, a Youth Perspective,” to share idea-thoughts between India-Bangaldesh, held at the Vigana Bhavana, in the Manasa Gangotri campus.
In his address, he said, “Irrespective of place of birth, human beings should live with peace and develop a mindset of brotherhood. The youth from Bangaldesh are in India to learn about our culture, education, etc., and spread it in their country. Such programs are helpful in maintaining peace in both the countries. There should be liveliness in lives. It is indeed happy to see the youth from Bangaldesh arrived here as ambassadors of peace.”
M.N. Nataraj, Director of the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Bengaluru informed that the International Youth Exchange program is held every year under the Youth Exchange program of the Youth Services and Sports Ministry. Strengthening the relationship between both the countries, peace and brotherhood and provide a platform for exchange of thoughts, ideas and knowledge is the objective of the this program, he informed.
A total number of 102 youth, including 57 girls from Bangladesh have visited Mysuru. They will exchange ideas and thoughts with the Registrar and the students of the university. They will also visit the Mysore Medical College and Infosys campus.
NSS Regional Director K.V. Khadri Narasimhaiah, State NSS Officer Pratap Lingaiah, Coordinator Prof. B. Chandrashekar, International Central University Director Prof. G.R. Janardhan, Prof. C. Gurusiddaiah, Navashad of the Bangaldesh team, Neeraj, Dr. Subhash, Devraj Chakrapani and others were present.
