Mysuru, June 14, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Our country is a cradle of yoga and I feel proud to say that,” observed Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He inaugurated a webinar on the topic, “History of Yoga and its multi-uses,’ organized by the Educational Multimedia Research Center, in association with the Swami Vivekananda Anusandhana Samsthapana Samsthe, held at the Vignana Bhavana, in Manasagangotri campus.
“S-Vyasa is the first University in the entire world that is publicizing yoga. Dr. H.R. Nagendra Guruji is managing it in a most systematic and organized way for the last few decades. Yoga is a medical science that has several spiritual horizons. Today it is gaining popularity across the world. Yoga and our ancient Ayurveda play a vital role in facing fatal diseases and curing them and protect the health of human beings and our welfare,” he added.
EMRC Director Prof. Rajashekar and S-Vyasa Deemed University Registrar Prof. M.K. Sridhar, Prof. B.R. Ramakrishna, Dr. N.K. Manjunath and others were present.
