ಮಂಡ್ಯ,ಮೇ,21,2022(www.justkannada.in): ಆದಿ ಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ. ನಾಗಮಂಗಲ, ಇಲ್ಲಿಯ ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ಇನ್ಸ್ ಟಿಟೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಮಾಲಿಕ್ಯೂಲರ್ ಮೆಡಿಸಿನ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿರುವ ಡಾ. ಶೋಭಿತ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜಪಾನ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ‘ಜಸ್ಸೋ ಫೆಲೋಷಿಪ್‌ (JASSO Fellowship)’ ದೊರಕಿದೆ.
ಈ ಫೆಲೋಷಿಪ್‌ ನ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಡಾ. ಶೋಭಿತ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಜಪಾನಿನ ಹೊಕೈಡೊ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ತಾವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು 90 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಜಪಾನಿನ ಸದರಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಡಾ. ಶೋಭಿತ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಪ್ರೊ, ಹಿರೋಶಿ ಹಿನೌ ಅವರ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿರುವರು.
ಜಪಾನಿನ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡಿರುವ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸುವುದು ಜೆಸ್ಸೊ ಫೆಲೋಷಿಪ್‌ ನ ಕುರುಹಾಗಿದೆ. ಡಾ. ಶೋಭಿತ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಜರ್ನಲ್‌ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 75ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಪ್ರಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿರುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಔಷದ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 5 ಪೇಟೆಂಟ್‌ ಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಡಾ. ಶೋಭಿತ್ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಅವರು ಅಂತಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮುಕ್ತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದ ಪ್ರೊ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಪೂರ್ಣಿಮಾ ದೇವಿ ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ದಂಪತಿ ಪುತ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಡಾ. ಶೋಭಿತ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಲಭಿಸಿರುವ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಫೆಲೋಷಿಪ್‌ ನಿಂದ ಆದಿಚುಂಚನಗಿರಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಗರಿಮೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಆ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ವಿ. ಶೇಖರ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

An international fellowship is awarded to a city researcher
Dr. Shobith Rangappa, Director of Adichunchanagiri Institute for Molecular Medicine, Adichunchanagiri university Nagamangala has been awarded with JASSO Fellowship from the Japanese Government. As a part of this fellowship, Dr. Shobith has been allowed to take part in ongoing research work for the span of 90 days at the Hokkaido University, Japan. Prof. Hiroshi Hinou will host Dr. Shobith during his stay in Japan.
JASSO fellowship is given in recognition of extraordinary research work done by an international scientist who is a alumnus of the University of Japan. Shobith has published more than 75 papers in internationally reputed journals and holds 5 patents in the field of cancer drug discovery. It is noteworthy that Dr. Shobith is the son of Prof. K S Rangappa, former Vice Chancellor of the KSOU and University of Mysore and Poornima Devi Rangappa. “It is an honor to the young university like Adichunchanagiri University” said Dr. M A Shekar, Vice-Chancellor of the Adichunchanagiri University.
