Bengaluru, Feb. 17, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in a tweet has given sarcastic remarks on Minister Eshwarappa with respect to the latter’s fight for ST reservation for Kuruba community.
In his tweet Siddaramaiah has stated, “This is not the suitable time to fight for ST reservation for Kuruba community. The State Government has to recommend the Union Government after getting the Genealogy Research report. If the Union Government rejects it after that we have to protest.”
“Eshwarappa is a BJP leader. Recommending for reservation and approving that recommendation is in the hands of BJP now. Therefore Eshwarappa’s fight for reservation for Kuruba community at this juncture is just like a fight against himself. There is a provision to provide reservation only for those communities that have remained socially and educationally backward,” he has explained.
