Hubballi, October 7, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The byelections for the Hanagal and Sindhagi assembly constituencies are fast approaching. In the meantime, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has criticized the JDS alleging it of targeting the Congress party purposefully by fielding candidates from the minority community.
“The JDS is purposefully targeting our party by fielding minority community candidates in the byelections in Hanagal and Sindhagi constituencies. This way, the JDS is exhibiting its pro-BJP stand,” Siddaramaiah alleged.
Speaking to the media persons regarding this, he said, “We don’t have any objection for fielding candidates from the minority community, but we are not satisfied with JDS because not fielding the minority community candidates from where they should have fielded.”
“They should have fielded minority community candidates in Mandya, Hassan, and other constituencies. JDS has a stronghold in the old Mysuru region, and Congress also is strong in those constituencies. This way, the JDS is targeting Congress party again and again,” he expressed his displeasure.
