Bengaluru, September 28, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “The JDS is all set to contest in the by-elections for Hangal and Sindhagi constituencies scheduled to be held on October 30,” said former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy. He said that it is in fact like a preparatory exam for his party.
The former Chief Minister addressed the media persons at his farmhouse located in Bidadi today as soon as the Central Election Commission announced the dates of the by-elections. “The date of the by-elections for two constituencies in the state is announced. The by-elections are held following the death of the Sindhagi and Hangal MLAs. The JDS is ready to contest. We are conducting a special workshop from yesterday. This by-election is like a preparatory exam for our party. We have already announced Nayaz as our candidate in Hangal constituency and he is working actively in the constituency,” he said.
“There are five ticket aspirants in Sindhagi constituency and we are already discussing it. We will contest in both constituencies. We will discuss it in today’s meeting,” he replied to a question.
