Bengaluru, Feb. 03, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The Aero India 2021 Air Show is an international attraction and draws thousands of viewers directly and lakhs through other media including TV. In such a huge event which is taking place in the capital city of Karnataka, Kannada has disappeared and only English and Hindi languages were seen. A similar situation had appeared even at an event that took place in Shivamogga recently. Now Kannada has disappeared at the Air Show event, and it was reported in our ‘justkannada.in’ (we had carried a story under the title Aero India: Negligence towards Kannada without following the tri-language policy. see more:https://www.justkannada.in/?p=55246).
Former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy who noticed this has expressed his displeasure towards the negligent attitude on Kannada language. In his tweet, he has stated that “Kannada has disappeared in the three-day Aero India 2021 air show that is taking place in Yelahanka, Bengaluru. The tri-language formula is forgotten. Only English and Hindi have appeared on all the boards at the event. It is gross negligence and insult to Kannada and I strongly oppose this.”
He has also has questioned the state leaders including Chief Minister B.S.Yedyurappa who was present at the inaugural event why he didn’t notice this. Is it not an insult meted out to Kannada? he stated in his tweet.
