ಇಂದು ವಿಧಾನಸೌಧದ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ನಾಡಪ್ರಭು ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡರ 514 ನೇ ಜಯಂತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಅವರ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಗೆ ಮಾಲಾರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಂತರ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡರು ಒಬ್ಬ ದಕ್ಷ ಆಡಳಿತಗಾರರು. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ಸುಭದ್ರ ಅಡಿಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ವಿವಿಧ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ವೃತ್ತಿ ಆಧರಿಸಿ ಪೇಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಮಗೆಲ್ಲ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಡಪ್ರಭು ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಅದ್ದೂರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡರ ಜಯಂತಿ ಆಚರಣೆ, ದೇವನಹಳ್ಳಿಯ ವಿಮಾನನಿಲ್ದಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರು ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಂಪೇಗೌಡ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಪ್ರಾಧಿಕಾರ ರಚನೆಗೆ ತೀರ್ಮಾನವನ್ನು ಹಿಂದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅವಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಯಿತು ಎಂದು ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that Kempegowda’s vision is the reason for the development of Bangalore city.
He was speaking to the media after garlanding the statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda as part of the 514th birth anniversary program at Vidhana Soudha premises today.
Kempegowda was one of the greatest ruler. He has laid a solid foundation for the development of Bangalore. He had built towns based on the occupations of different people. The CM said that Kempegowda’s administration is a source of inspiration to all of us.

The Nadaprabhu Kempegowda’s Jayanti is being celebrated at various district levels including Bangalore. The chief minister recalled that the decision to celebrate Kempegowda’s Jayanti, naming the Devanahalli airport after him and forming the Kempegowda Development Authority was taken earlier during congress government.
Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Chief Minister’s Political Secretary Govindaraju were present on this occasion.
