Bengaluru, October 28, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The Government of Karnataka had had organized a ‘Koti Kanta Gaayana’ competition, as part of the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations, which received overwhelming response. Thousands of people including students elected representatives, officials and general public joined in the singing of Kannada songs program.
The program was held at the Kanteerava Indoor stadium in Bengaluru. About 50 thousand people rendered six selected Kannada songs, including ‘Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanu Jaate,’ ‘Huttidare Kannada Naadinalli Huttabeku,’ ‘Hachcevu Kannadada Deepa,’ ‘Baarisu Kannada Dindimava,’ and ‘Udayavaagali Namma Cheluva Kannada Naadu.’
The program was also held on the footsteps of Vidhana Soudha, all Metro stations, Kempegowda International Airport, Bus stops, auto stands, prison, IT-BT company premises, Bannerughatta National Park and Lalbagh, to accommodate the enthusiastic participants.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Ministers R. Ashok, Sunil Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Jaggesh, MP Sadananda Gowda, Tejaswi Surya and others rendered their voices at the program held on the footsteps of Vidhana Soudha.
The program attracted participation of 1.5 crore Kannadigas from across the State. School and College students, elected representatives, officers and others joined in all the 30 districts of the state.
