Bengaluru, May 11, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D.K. Shivakumar today demanded the State Government to deposit a sum of Rs. 10,000 each to the bank accounts of poor beneficiaries who are suffering due to the lockdown imposed by the State Government to control Coronavirus.
Speaking to the media persons today in Bengaluru he said that lakhs of poor people including street vendors, daily wage workers, laborers are already facing problems due to no jobs due to the lockdown. He demanded the State Government announce a financial package for them immediately. “Farmers are not finding buyers for their hard-earned produce. Have you ever visited any agricultural field and checked? Please visit the APMC yard once and see the problems they are facing,” he said.
“The Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa is advising the people of the state to get prepared to face the 3rd wave of the pandemic, let him take proper measures to control the 2nd wave first. People are not getting beds, oxygen. Please inform where they will get oxygen,” he added.
