Bengaluru, June 8, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Former Chief Minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah alleged that the reason behind the differences between the two duty-bound IAS officers in Mysuru is the land mafia that has taken place in Mysuru and hence has demanded a probe.
He spoke to the press persons at his Bengaluru residence. “BJP MP Pratap Simha, MLA and JDS leader Sa. Ra. Mahesh is the real reason behind the differences and war of words between the two IAS officers Shilpa Nag, Commissioner, Mysore City Corporation, and former Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Rohini Sindhuri. At first, the BJP leaders supported one IAS officer. Especially Pratap Simha was in full support of DC Rohini Sindhuri. But all of a sudden he started opposing her and started appreciating another IAS officer Shilpa Nag. Thus, it was the BJP leaders who provoked both of them against each other. But what was the District In-charge Minister Somashekar doing? Is it not his failure?” he questioned.
“Who permitted the officer to address the press meet? There is no chance to address a press meet without anybody’s permission. A transfer is not a punishment. The State Government should take action against both of them. But it doesn’t have the nerve. Non-existence of administration is the reason behind all this,” he added.
Further, he also mentioned the outgoing DC Rohini Sindhuri’s last statement that the land mafia was the reason for her transfer. In that case, a detailed probe is necessary to find out how many land scams have taken place and who is behind them. Everything should be exposed, he demanded.
