Bengaluru, Mar. 25, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): In response to Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar’s recent statement alleging that none of the MLAs are monogamists, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah today demanded let all the MLAs, including Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa and Assembly Speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri give public clarifications about their marital status.
Speaking about the issue today Siddaramaiah explained that as Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar’s statement applies to BJP MLAs also, and if they all agree to it, the State Government should take against them as per Sec.494 and 495 of the Indian Penal Code. Bigamy is a crime as per the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
He also mentioned that if the BJP MLAs oppose Minister Sudhakar’s statement let them voluntarily accept my challenge, as all our party MLAs have agreed to do.
