Bengaluru, Dec. 16, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): “I wish there will be more awareness and symmetry among the people through thoughtful programs,” opined Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He inaugurated the ‘Celebration of World Human Rights’ programme organised by the Human Rights Protection and Corruption Prevention Institute, in association with the District Legal Services Forum, and Research Students Association, held at the Rani Bahaddur Auditorium today.
In his address, he said, “in Karnataka especially there have been a lot of struggles to bring sensitivity among human beings, cultural, social equality in the 12th Century itself. Kuvempu gave his message of humanity to the entire world. Leaders like Mahatma Gandhiji and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar had created awareness among the people on human rights during their time, with a view of establishing peace and humanity on earth.”
