Davanagere, August 3, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “Let us all pledge to work under the leadership of Siddaramaiah. Let us face the coming elections under the mass leadership. Let us drive away the corrupt BJP government in the state,” KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar called upon the Congress party activists today.
He participated in the 75th Birthday celebrations of the former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, held at the S.S. Grounds, in Davanagere today.
In his address, D.K. Shivakumar said, “Today is Siddaramaiah’s birthday celebration. Our country has completed 75 years of independence. Hence, it is celebration for the entire country along with Congress party. Congress high command led by Rahul and Sonia Gandhi had appointed Siddaramaiah as the Chief Minister in 2013. Siddaramaiah was sworn-in as the CM on Basava Jayanti day. We all have seen his administration. Congress follows Basavanna’s principles. I indeed was happy when I heard about Siddaramotsava. I thank Rahul Gandhi for attending this historic program.”
“Siddaramaiah introduced several poor-friendly programs like ‘Annabhagya’. Please don’t project him as the leader of the backward classes. He is indeed a leader of the masses and all religions. I wish him good health and strength to serve the state,” he added.
