ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 18,2020(www.justkannada.in): ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿ, ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಪೂರೈಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಿಮ್ಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ.ಸುಧಾಕರ್, ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೆ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುವ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪಡೆದರು.
ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ. ಸುಧಾಕರ್, “ರೋಗಿಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಗೆ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಪೂರೈಕೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಕಿಮ್ಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಕೊರತೆ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಕೂಡಲೇ ರೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬೌರಿಂಗ್ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಕ್ಟೋರಿಯಾ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಸ್ಥಳಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಇನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
“ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಕಂಪನಿ ಜೊತೆ ಕಿಮ್ಸ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಗತ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಷ್ಟು ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಮಾಡಲು ಸೂಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕಾ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೂ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಬೇರೆ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಸ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು” ಎಂದರು.
“ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಘಟಕಗಳಿಂದ ಸುಲಭವಾಗಿ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಲಭ್ಯವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಗುಜರಾತ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಘಟಕಗಳಿದ್ದು, ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ದೊರೆಯುವಂತೆ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಕೋರಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲೀಗ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ನಾಲ್ಕರಿಂದ ಐದು ಪಟ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಕೊರತೆಯನ್ನು ಲೋಪ ಎನ್ನಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿರುವುದರಿಂದ ಪೂರೈಕೆದಾರರಿಗೆ ಸರಬರಾಜು ಮಾಡಲು ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಷ್ಟು ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಬೇಕಾಗಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಯಾರೂ ಅಂದಾಜು ಮಾಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ 2,400 ಕ್ಯೂಬಿಕ್ ಮೀಟರ್ ನಷ್ಟು ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಘಟಕ ಇದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅರ್ಧ ಟ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಮಾತ್ರ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಸರಬರಾಜಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಲಿಕ್ವಿಡ್ ಘಟಕಗಳನ್ನು ಬೇರೆ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ತಂದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳವಡಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ.
ಬೇರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಂಕಿತರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಲ್ಲ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಅಷ್ಟರಮಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಜಾಸ್ತಿಯಾದಂತೆ ದರ ಕೂಡ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ದರ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮಾಡಲು ಅವಕಾಶವಿದ್ದರೆ ಅದನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಬೇರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯದಿಂದ ತರಿಸುವ ಆಕ್ಸಿಜನ್ ನ ದರ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Minister Visits KIMS hospital to review the infrastructure for treatment of Covid patients
Bengaluru August 18, 2020: Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar visited Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences today to review the infrastructure and treatment facilities for Covid-19 patients. There are some issues is supply of oxygen to hospitals as there is huge demand. I have directed the officials to make necessary arrangements to ensure adequate supply of liquid oxygen to all hospitals in the state The Minister said. Measures will also be taken to establish new liquid oxygen plants to meet the high demand. The Minister said during his visit.
Speaking at the hospital Dr Sudhakar said, as number of cases have increased, there is a scarcity of oxygen at all hospitals. KIMS also faced that situation yesterday and patients have been shifted to Bowring and Victoria hospitals immediately. We are taking measures to establish oxygen plants at all medical hospitals across the state. We are in contact with private firms which supply liquid oxygen and principal secretary of industry department is in touch with them, he said.
The Minister also said that during the last video conference he has requested PM Modi to help for setting up of more liquid oxygen plants in the state. The demand for oxygen has gone up by 4 to 5 times due to Covid, Minister said.
The KIMS hospital has a liquid oxygen plant with a capacity of 2,400 cubic meter. However, the supply is being met to fill only half of it due to huge demand. I have instructed officials to ensure adequate supply of liquid oxygen to all government hospitals and medical colleges. The problem doesn’t arise in other districts as the demand is not as high as Bengaluru, Minister said.
The cost has naturally increased due to increase in demand. The government will regulate the prices if it is feasible at the state level. For regulating cost of vendors from other states we may have to approach central government, Dr.Sudhakar said.
