Bengaluru, July 29, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Chief Secretary to the Government Vandita Sharma has appealed to all the State Government employees to make the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign successful by hoisting the national flag on their houses from August 13 to 15.
She addressed the State-Level Independence Day preparatory meeting on Friday, held at the Vidhana Soudha. “It is a good opportunity for all the State Government employees to exhibit their patriotism by hoisting the tricolor on their houses,” she said.
The Union Government has launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign from August 13 to 15. ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ means hoisting national flag on all the houses. “Our country is celebrating the 75th Independence Day this year and the Union Government is observing it as the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. The National Flags are allowed to be hoisted on the houses and government offices for all the three days starting from August 13 to 15, day and night. The Union Government has instructed to conduct the campaign in all the states. Accordingly, it is the intention of the State Government to make it successful in our state also,” she explained.
She also appealed to the citizens of the state to step forward and hoist the national flag atop their houses from August 13 to 15. Flags made of handloom cotton, polyster, cotton silk, or khadi can be used.
Citizens are also asked to take a selfie by standing in front of the national flag and post it on the website https://harghartiranga.com, she added.
