ಮೈಸೂರು, ಜೂ.16 , 2020 : (www.justkannada.in news) ಮಂಡ್ಯದ ಮೈಶುಗರ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣ ಕುರಿತು ಮೈಸೂರು ರಾಜವಂಶದ ಉತ್ತರಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಯುದುವೀರ್ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯ ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಪರ-ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹೊತ್ತಲ್ಲೇ, ಯದುವೀರ್ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುವಂತಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಫೇಸ್ ಬುಕ್ ಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಯದುವೀರ್ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಅದು ಹೀಗಿದೆ….
ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯು ಕಬ್ಬುಬೆಳೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೈಶುಗರ್ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವಂತಹದ್ದಾಗಿದೆ, ಆದರೆ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧವು ಕಳವಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿದೆ, ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ರೈತರು ಬೆಳೆದಿರುವ ಕಬ್ಬನ್ನು ಮಾರಾಟಮಾಡಲು ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯ ಸಮಯೋಚಿತ ಆರಂಭದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ.
ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವೈಫಲ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಭಾವನೆಯ ನಡುವೆ ನಮಗೆ ಇರುವ ಒಂದು ಆಯ್ಕೆಯೆಂದರೆ, ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ (operations and maintenance) ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ಕರೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸುವುದು. ಈ ಮಧ್ಯಮ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು ಖಾಸಗೀಕರಣದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗಿರುವ ಭಾವನೆಯನ್ನು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಡಿಸುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ ಇದರಿಂದ ಮಂಡ್ಯ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಕಬ್ಬು ಬೆಳೆಗಾರರು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

ENGLISH SUMMARY :
The District of Mandya is synonymous with growing sugarcane and the sugar industry.
The continued resistance toward the privatisation of of the MySugar Mill is understandable given the heritage of the institution, however the resistance is a cause for concern as the farmers of Mandya district need a timely start to the crushing of sugarcane so that they can sell their crop. The inability of the government to run the mill and public sentiment against complete privatisation means we have but one option, i.e. to run the mill under an operations and maintenance (O&M) system.
This middle ground will ensure that public sentiment against privatisation is satisfied. Also, the mill can once again prosper and, most importantly, the sugar cane growers of Mandya don’t have to have to face a crisis.
