Mysuru, December 21, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “It is the objective of the Basaveshwara Social Revival, Research and Extension Center to collect the Vachana and Sharana literature that have remained in the form of manuscripts from 12th to 19th centuries and publish them in the form of books,” opined Prof. G. Hemanthkumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore.
He released the books published by the Sri Basaveshwara Social Revival, Research and Extension Center, Kuvempu Research Centre at a program held at the BM Shri Auditorium in Manasagangotri today.
In his address, he observed that the objective of the center is very rare, and expressed his happiness for realizing it. “The process of giving a book form to the ancient manuscripts was commenced in 2018 with the permission of the University of Mysore. As a result of this, today, a total number of 9 books have been published,” he added.
Prof. M.G. Manjunath, Director, Kuvempu Kannada Research Center, Guest Lecturer Prof. Chandrashekaraiah, Dr. Y.C. Banumati, Dr. S.Gowramma, Prof. Guruswamy, Dr. Annapoorna, and others were present.
