Mysuru, Feb. 20, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): ” Nowadays the media people won’t get sleep if they won’t criticize me. But I will welcome them, because of the freedom of journalism, freedom of expression our constitution has given us, it should exist in the society, otherwise, it becomes a dictatorship,” opined former CM Siddaramaiah.
He participated in the inaugural function of the Mysuru District Photo Journalists’ Association (MPJA) held in the Mysuru District Journalists’ Association building premises today.
“Despite this sometimes our acts will be against our constitution and it is very sad. Even today I read newspapers more than watching TV. I believe that there will be more truth in print media news rather than TV media. Though local journos report correctly, it will be edited as per their wish at the Head offices. Moreover, the owners twist the news,” he said sarcastically.
His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji, MLA G.T. Devegowda, Zamir Ahmed Khan, MLC Dharmasena, MUDA Chairman Rajeev, Mysuru District Journalists’ Association President Ravikumar, and others were present.
