ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ ೨, ೨೦೨೧ (www.justkannada.in): ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಕೋರಮಂಗಲದ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮೀಸಲು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಪಡೆಯ ‘ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಕ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್’ ಇಂದು ಲಾಲ್‌ಬಾಗ್‌ನ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿತು. ಸುಮಾರು ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ಆರಂಭವಾದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಇದು ಈ ತಂಡದ ಈವರೆಗಿನ ಮೊದಲ ಸಂಗೀತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈ ಸಂಗೀತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿಯವರು ಮುನ್ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ೭.೦೦ ಗಂಟೆಗೆ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿ ೭.೪೦ಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಕ್ತಾಯವಾದ ಈ ಸಂಗೀತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇವಲ ಐದು ವಾದ್ಯಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ತಂಡ ಬೆಳಗಿನ ಜಾವದ ವಾಯುವಿಹಾರಿಗಳ ಮನರಂಜಿಸಿದರು.
ಒಂದು ಭಜನೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಿಂದಿ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರಗಳ ಹಾಡುಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂಗೀತ ನುಡಿಸಿತು. ಕೆಲವು ವಾಯುವಿಹಾರಿಗಳ ಕೋರಿಕೆಯ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದ ಮೇರುನಟ ಡಾ. ರಾಜ್‌ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ನಟಿಸಿ ಹಾಡಿರುವ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯ ಹಾಡು “ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ನಾಡಲ್ಲಿ ಹುಟ್ಟಬೇಕು,” ಹಾಡನ್ನು ಎರಡು ಬಾರಿ ನುಡಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಮ್ಯೂಸಿಕ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ವೃತ್ತಿಪರರಾಗಿರದಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವರ ಉತ್ಸಾಹಭರಿತ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಕರರಿಂದ ಚಪ್ಪಾಳೆಯನ್ನು ಗಿಟ್ಟಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದರು. ಇದು ಮುಂಜಾನೆ ವಾಯುವಿಹಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಂತಹ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ರೀತಿಯ ಆಶ್ಚರ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಹ್ಲಾದಕರ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಒದಗಿಸಿತು.
ನಾರಾಯಣಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಅವರ ತಂಡದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ತಾವು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಡ್ಯೂಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ವಾದ್ಯ ನುಡಿಸುವುದನ್ನು ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಸಿಲು ಬಹಳ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಸಮಯ ದೊರೆಯುತ್ತದೆ. “ಆದರೂ ಸಹ ನಮಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಆನಂದವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಕೊರೊನಾ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು ವಾರಕ್ಕೊಮ್ಮೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮನರಂಜಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆವು. ಈಗ ಪುನಃ ನಮ್ಮ ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರೆಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಲಭಿಸಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಮ್ಮ ಅನಿಸಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.

Band Back with a Bang!
Today the music band of Karnataka State Reserve Police, Koramangala, Bengaluru performed at the Band Stand of Lalbagh. This is the first music program at this public place after the Covid Pandemic began 2 years ago.
Police personnel Narayanaswamy led the band. They had used five instruments to enthrall the morning walkers. Around 7 am it began and went on up to 7.40 am. Popular Kannada and Hindi movie songs besides a Bhajan were played on the instruments. On request by a section of the walkers, the ‘Huttidare Kannadanadalli Huttabeku’ song of cine star Rajkumar was played, not once but twice. They may not be perfectionists. But they enthrall the audience with their enthusiasm. Such early morning surprise is always welcome.
Narayanaswamy and his team members said that they find it tough to make time to practice music because they are on other regular police duty. “We are happy to be here. Weekly once we used to come here to perform. This had to stop because of the pandemic. Now we may continue our show here,” Narayanaswamy said.
