Bengaluru, January 27, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Following the appointment of Congress leader B.K. Hariprasad as the leader of opposition in the legislative council, Congress MLC C.M. Ibrahim announced to quit Congress, expressing his displeasure.
Speaking to the media persons today, he informed that his relationship with Congress is a closed chapter now. “We had visited Devegowda because of Siddaramaiah. We had quit the JDS which we built being in jail. I can’t tell you all the things at a time. I will inform you in detail one by one. I will inform you my decision soon,” he added.
“We built a new political life for Siddaramaiah. But he has given a nice gift for us now. I will receive it happily. We knew Siddaramaiah would lose in the Chamundi Assembly constituency, that is why we convinced our leaders and helped him to contest from Badami. It is me who gave him a new political life,” he said.
“I will soon resign from my post. I will arrive at a decision after meeting Devegowda. I can’t adjust with D.K. Shivakumar,” he added.
