ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮಾ.06, 2022 : (www.justkannada.in news ) ಯುವ ಮನಸ್ಸುಗಳೇ ಬನ್ನಿ , ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುವ ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬೇರೆಡೆ ಪಸರಿಸಿ. ಆ ಮೂಲಕ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ವಿಶ್ವಗುರು ಮಾಡೋಣ ಎಂದು ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಚಿವೆ ನಿರ್ಮಲ ಸೀತಾರಾಮನ್ ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತೀಯ ಖಗೋಳ ಭೌತಶಾಸ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಗರದ ಚಾಮುಂಡಿಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಪಾದದ ಬಳಿ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಕಾಸ್ಮೋಲಜಿ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ – ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಶಂಕುಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಹೆಣ್ಣು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ . ಅವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ತಾರೆಗಳಂತೆ ಹೊಳೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳಾಗಿ ದೇಶದ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಪತಾಕಿ ಹಾರಿಸಬೇಕು. ಯುವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತರಬೇತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಖಗೋಳ ತಾರಾಲಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಳೆದು, ಹೊಸದು ಅಂತ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಡೇಟಾ (ಅಂಕಿಅಂಶಗಳು) ಸಂಗ್ರಹವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಬರೀ ಶೇಖರಣೆಯಾದರೆ ಪ್ರಯೋಜನವಿಲ್ಲ ಅದು ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗಬೇಕು. ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗಲು ಸೂಕ್ತವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ಮಾಡುವವರು ಬೇಕು. ಅಂತಹ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯುವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಿಗಳು ತಾರಾಲಯದ ಡೇಟಾವನ್ನು ಸರಿಯಾಗಿ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡರೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ, ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ, ಸಮಾಜಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು ಆಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕಲೆ, ಕಲಾವಿದರ ತವರೂರು. ಈ ವಿವಿ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ ಇದೆ. ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಆಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಐಎಎಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ನನಗೆ ಆಪ್ತ ಸಲಹಾಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ನನಗೆ ತಾರಾಲಯ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಐಡಿಯಾ ಕೊಟ್ಟವರು ಅವರೇ. ನಂತರ ಪ್ರೊ.ಕೆ.ವಿಜಯ ರಾಘವನ್ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ರೂಪುರೇಷೆ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಹಕಾರ ನೀಡಿತು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಸಂಸದ ಪ್ರತಾಪಸಿಂಹ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಶತಮಾನೋತ್ಸವ ಆಚರಿಸಿದ ದೇಶದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವಿವಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯವೂ ಒಂದು. ನಿರ್ಮಲ ಸೀತಾರಾಮನ್ ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ದೇಶದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸದೃಢವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಚೀನಾಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಭಾರತದ ಜಿಡಿಪಿ ಶೇ.9.2ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚುವ ಮುನ್ಸೂಚನೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಗೆ ಇನ್‌ಕ್ವಿಬಿಟಿ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇದ್ದು , ಅದನ್ನು ಮಂಜೂರು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಚಿವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಸರ ಕೊಡುಗೆ ಅಪಾರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಜಯಚಾಮರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಈ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಜಯಚಾಮರಾಜ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಉನ್ನತ ಕಲಿಕಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರವೊಂದನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ತಾರಾಲಯ ಉದಯೋನ್ಮುಖ, ಶಾಲಾ ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಲೇಜು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ, ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರಿಗೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ಲಾನಿಟೋರಿಯಂ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶಕಾಯಗಳ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಡಿಜಿಟಲ್ ಡಿಸ್‌ಪ್ಲೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಖಗೋಳದ ಆ ಕ್ಷಣದ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದಾದ(ರಿಯಲ್ ಟೈಂ ಡೇಟಾ)ದೇಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕ ಖಗೋಳ ತಾರಾಲಯ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
ಡಿಜಿಸ್ಟಾರ್ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯು 7 ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್ ಮತ್ತು ಡೊಮೆಕ್ಸ್ ಸ್ಕ್ರೀನ್ ಅನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಎಂಜಿನ್ ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಈ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ನೀಡಲು ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

Astronomical ‘Real-Time Data’: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman lays foundation stone for the country’s first modern Astronomy Planetarium
Mysuru, March 06, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today laid the foundation stone for the ‘Cosmology Education and Research Training Institute,’ in Mysuru, near the foothills of Chamundi. The Institute is being established by the University of Mysore in association with the Indian Institute of Astrophysics.
In her address, she said, “Many girls have attended the program here today. They are the future of our country. They are all shining like stars. I wish all of them to become scientists and bring laurels to the country. I wish all the young scientists engage themselves in research and training activities here.”
“A lot of data (statistics) including both old and new, will compile after the establishment of the Astronomical Planetarium. However, it is not enough only if the data is collected, it should become useful. Efficient people to give proper guidance to use it are required. There are such capable people at the University of Mysore, who can provide guidance. If the young scientists make use of the planetarium data it can prove good for the people, as well as the country and the society,” she observed.
“The University of Mysore is the cultural capital of Karnataka. It is the birthplace of several arts and artists. I have a lot of respect and am proud of this University. There is a lot of work going on here. An IAS officer from Karnataka was once my advisor. It was he who gave me the idea of establishing the planetarium here. After that, Prof. K. Vijaya Raghavan prepared the blueprint of this project. The University of Mysore gave a lot of cooperation to implement it,” she added.
In his address, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha observed that the University of Mysore is one among the four Universities in the country that have celebrated centenary year celebrations. “India’s economy is improving after Nirmala Sitharaman took over as the Finance Minister. All signs have appeared that India’s GDP will increase by 9.2% in comparison to China,” he said. On the occasion, he said that the University of Mysore requires an Inquibity Center and requested the Union Finance Minister to grant it.
Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, in his address expressed his view that the contribution of the Wadiyar kings in the establishment of the University of Mysore was immense. “We have to remember Jayachamaraja Wadiyar on this occasion. We have opened the Higher Learning Centre in his name. The proposed planetarium will benefit the school and college students and the public to gain knowledge about science and astronomy. This Planetarium will be the first of its kind in the country, where all the real-time data will receive directly from the satellite and displayed through digital displays,” he added.
“The DGStar system includes 7 system and Domex screen. This training institute with an engine with special significance will be helpful for the students and teachers in imparting meaningful and effective training,” he observed.
Prof. K. Vijaya Raghavan, Chief Scientific Advisor, K.N. Vyas, of the Atomic Energy Department, Dr. S. Chandrashekar, Secretary, Science, and Technology Department, and Prof. Annapurna Subramanian, Director, Indian Institute of Astrophysics were present. Prof. B. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore gave a vote of thanks.
