ಮೈಸೂರು,ಮಾರ್ಚ್,22,2022(www.justkannada.in): ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ 102ನೇ ಘಟಿಕೋತ್ಸವದಲ್ಲಿ ರಸಾಯನ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾವನಾ ಜಿ.ಎಂ. 19 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಹಾಗೂ 2 ನಗದು ಬಹುಮಾನ ಪಡೆದ ಅತಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪದಕ ಪಡೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.
ಮೂಲತಃ ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ಪೇಟೆ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಭಾವನಾ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲೇ ನೆಲೆಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಭಾಗ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಹದೇವ್ ದಂಪತಿ ಪುತ್ರಿಯಾದ ಭಾವನಾ ಅವರು ಯುವರಾಜ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಎಸ್ಸಿ ಓದುವಾಗಲೂ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದರು. ತಂದೆ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆಗಾರರಾಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹಳ್ಳಿಯನ್ನು ತೊರೆದು ಮೈಸೂರಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದರು. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಅದು ತಿಳಿಯಬಾರದು ಎಂಬಂತೆ ಬದುಕು ಸಾಗಿಸಿದರು.
“ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನ ಓದಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆ ಆಗಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಕಷ್ಟ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಪೋಷಕರು ಹೇಳುತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಿದರು. ನಿತ್ಯ ಓದುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಪದಕ ಬರುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ ಇತ್ತು. ಆದರೂ 19 ಚಿನ್ನದ ಪದಕ ಬಂದಿದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಖುಷಿ ಇದೆ. ಮುಂದೆ ಐಎಎಸ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಆಸೆ ಇದೆ. ಅದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ,” ಎಂದು ಭಾವನಾ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

Bhavana bags 19 gold medals at the 102nd Convocation of UoM
Mysuru, March 22, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Bhavana G.M., a student of Chemistry has bagged 19 gold medals and two cash prizes and emerged as the highest gold medals winner at the 102nd Convocation of the University of Mysore.
Bhavana, hailing from K.R. Pet taluk, is presently staying in Mysuru to pursue her education. She is the daughter of Bhagya and Mahadev. She also had earned gold medals in B.Sc., which she completed from Yuvaraja’s College in Mysuru. Her father is a contractor. He migrated to Mysuru to ensure that his children would get good education. He supported his daughter’s education despite several drawbacks in his professional life.
Bhavana stated that she wants to do IAS and would join coaching classes soon.
