ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೇ, ಕಾಲೇಜು ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ  ಬಲಿಯಾಗದಿರಿ- ಸಂಸದ ಪ್ರತಾಪ್ ಸಿಂಹ

ಮೈಸೂರು,ಮೇ,4,2022(www.justkannada.in): ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕಾಲೇಜು ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗದೆ ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಓದಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ರೂಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಂಸದ ಪ್ರತಾಪಸಿಂಹ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮಾನಸ ಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಭವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಐಟಿಸಿ ಕಂಪನಿ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಲ್ಯಾಪ್  ವಿತರಣೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.

ನನಗೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಯುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಸದನಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವುದು ನನ್ನ ಆದ್ಯ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ. ಸದ್ಯ ಒಬಿಸಿ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಫೆಲೋಶಿಪ್ ಸಿಗುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ. ಇದೀಗ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಲ್ಯಾಪ್ ಟಾಪ್ ಕೊಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೇ ಜಾತಿ ಮನಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಿಂದ ನೀವು ಹೊರ ಬನ್ನಿ. ಕೇವಲ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ ಆಗಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿ. ನಾನು ಗೌಡ, ಎಸ್ ಸಿ, ಲಿಂಗಾಯತ ಅಂತ ಬರಬೇಡಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ವಿವಿ ರಾಜಕೀಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಲಿಯಾಗಬೇಡಿ.  ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲ ಅವರವರ ಜಾತಿಯವರನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಇನ್ ಕ್ಯೂಬಿಷನ್ ಸೆಂಟರ್ ಇಲ್ಲ. 81 ಕೋಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ಲಾನಿಟೋರಿಯಂ ಬರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾಲೇಜು ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ ವಿಚಾರದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜಕೀಯದಿಂದ ದೂರ ಇರಿ. ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಓದಿ. ಜಾತಿ ಮೀರಿ ಬನ್ನಿ. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಒಂದಾಗಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಎಂದು ಕಿವಿಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ. ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಮೂರು-ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಮಾಡಿ. ಉತ್ತಮ ಜರ್ನಲ್ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿ. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಘನತೆ ಎತ್ತಿ ಹಿಡಿಯಿರಿ. ಹೊಸ ಹಾದಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಶೋಧನೆ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಹೆಸರಿಗಷ್ಟೇ ಪಿಎಚ್.ಡಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿ. ಡಾಕ್ಟರೇಟ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಕೆಲಸ ಸಿಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಇದರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ವೃದ್ಧಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು. ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಜಗತ್ತು ಇದು. ನಿಂತಲ್ಲೇ ನಿಲ್ಲದಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಕೆ.ಎಸ್.ರಂಗಪ್ಪ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಐಟಿಸಿ ಕಂಪನಿಗಳೇ ವಿವಿಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು. ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಗೌರವ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸರಕಾರವೇ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡಲು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ವಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತರಿಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಗಬೇಕು. ಕಂಪ್ಯೂಟರ್ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಜೀವನ ನಡೆಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನ ಬಹಳ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ಓಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯೆ ಇದ್ದರೆ ಎಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಕಾದರೂ ಬದುಕಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಕುಲಸಚಿವ ಪ್ರೊ.ಆರ್. ಶಿವಪ್ಪ, ಐಟಿಸಿ ಅಸಿಸ್ಟೆಂಟ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜರ್ ಪೂರ್ಣೇಶ್ ಎ.ಎಸ್., ಸಿಂಡಿಕೇಟ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ಡಾ.ಈ.ಸಿ.ನಿಂಗರಾಜು, ಡಾ.ಚೈತ್ರ ನಾರಾಯಣ್, ಒಬಿಸಿ ಸೆಲ್ ಸಂಯೋಜಕ ಪ್ರೊ.ಬಿ.ವಿ.ಸುರೇಶ್ ಕುರ್ಮಾ, ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ವೇದಿಕೆ ಸದಸ್ಯ ಡಾ.ಗಪ್ಪಣ್ಣ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರರು ಭಾಗವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

Mysuru, May 4, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha today called upon college students not to fall prey to college politics and instead shape their lives in a good way by studying well.
He inaugurated a program organized by the ITC Company, in association with the Backward Castes Research Scholars Forum, to distribute laptops to backward castes research scholars, held at the Vignana Bhavana in Manasa Gangotri campus.
In his address, he said, “I didn’t get an opportunity to study at the University of Mysore. But I have got an opportunity to represent Mysuru as MP. Hence, I consider it is my duty and responsibility to help the students. Today Fellowships are being given to eligible OBC research scholars. Laptops are being distributed to eligible candidates. However, I request all of you to come out of caste politics. Please join the University of Mysore only as a student. Please stop identifying yourself as Gowda, SC, Lingayath, etc.”
“Please don’t fall prey to college politics. Everyone is protecting their caste candidates in the University. There is no incubation center in Mysuru. A planetarium is being built here at Rs. 81 crore. During college days students will not have any knowledge about philosophy or principles. That is why I request them to stay away from politics. Please work hard and excel in academics. Grow beyond caste,” he added.
In his address, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, called upon the research scholars to do good research work and publish articles in journals. “Uphold the dignity of the University. Your research work should find you a new path. Don’t get a Ph.D. only for namesake. You won’t get a job as soon as you get a Ph.D. You should also develop skills along with it. It is a competitive world. Please don’t remain stagnant,” he observed.
Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, ITC Assistant Manager Poornesh A.S., Syndicate member Dr. E.C. Ningaraju, Dr. Chaitra Narayan, OBC Cell Convener Prof. B.V. Suresh Kumar, Backward Castes Forum member Dr. Gappanna and others were present.
