ಮೈಸೂರು, ಸೆ.09, 2021 : (www.justkannada.in news) ದೆಹಲಿಯ ಎನ್‌ಐಆರ್‌ಎಫ್ (ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಇನ್ಸ್ ಟ್ಯೂಷನಲ್ ರ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಫ್ರೇಮ್‌ ವರ್ಕ್- National Institutional Ranking Framework) ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷದಂತೆ ಈ ವರ್ಷವೂ ದೇಶದ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಗಳ ರ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಶತಮಾನ ಪೂರೈಸಿರುವ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಬಾರಿ 19ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.
2019ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯಕ್ಕೆ 54ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. 2020ರಲ್ಲಿ 27ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ, ಈ ವರ್ಷ 8 ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಜಿಗಿದಿರುವ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ, ಯೂನಿರ್ಸಿಟಿ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 19ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್ ತಿಂಗಳ ಎರಡನೇ ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಕ್ (NAAC )ಕಮಿಟಿ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಈ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ 19ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿರುವುದು ಆಶಾದಾಯಕ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆ ಆಗಿದೆ. ಓವರ್ ಆಲ್ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ 34ನೇ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಕಳೆದ ಬಾರಿ ಓವರ್ ಆಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ 47ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಲಭಿಸಿತ್ತು.
‘‘ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ಎನ್‌ಆರ್‌ಎಫ್ ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸಿದ ರ್ಯಾಂಕಿಂಗ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವಿಗಳ ವಿಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ 19ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಓವರ್ ಆಲ್ ಕ್ಯಾಟಗೆರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ 34ನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ. ಇದು ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸಂತಸದ ವಿಷಯ. ಸತತ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷ ಐವತ್ತರೊಳಗೆ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದರೆ ವಿವಿಗೆ ಗ್ರ್ಯಾಂಟ್ ಬರಲು ಸಹಕಾರಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ನ್ಯಾಕ್ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಅನ್ನು ಉತ್ತಮ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು. ವಿವಿಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೋಧಕ-ಬೋಧಕರೇತರರು, ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿಭಾಗದವರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಶ್ರಮದಿಂದ ಈ ರ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ,’’ ಎಂದು ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಜಸ್ಟ್ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

I am pleased to inform you that the University of Mysore has been ranked 19th among the universities and 34th in the overall category by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India for its performance. The rank list was released today on 9th September, 2021. I am also happy to note that the University has performed well this year and topped the list among the state universities in Karnataka as was done in the previous year also.
The ranking is annually done by the NIRF based on a well-developed framework based on five parameters – Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR); Research and Professional Practice (RP); Graduation Outcomes (GO); Outreach and Inclusivity (OI); and Peer Perception (PR). These parameters are related to the quality of core activities of HEIs, excellence and effectiveness in teaching and learning, reaching out to the socially, economically, and culturally unreached segments of the society and so on. The University of Mysore has performed well in all the parameters.
The NIRF assesses the Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) every year since 2015. The assessment is done under ten different segments – such as ‘Overall’, ‘University’, ‘Engineering’, ‘Management’ categories and so on. The University of Mysore participated in the first two segments. Incidentally it may be noted that in the previous year, i.e., year 2020, the University of was place at 27th in the university category and 47th position in overall category. It is really a quantum jump in the performance of the University in spite of dwindling number of permanent faculty members and the other limiting factors. This is the best performance of the University in the NIRF ranking so far.
