ಮೈಸೂರು,ಆಗಸ್ಟ್,17,2021(www.justkannada.in): ಆಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನವನ್ನು ತಾಲಿಬಾನಿಗಳು ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣವಾಗಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವ ವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಸಂಗ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಫ್ಘನ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೊ.ಜಿ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅಭಯ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದ ಕುಲಪತಿ, ಕುಲಸಚಿವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಆಫ್ಘನ್ ವಿಧ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚರ್ಚಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಅಫ್ಘನ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಧೈರ್ಯ ತುಂಬಿದ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಪ್ರೋ.ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್, ಅಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಅದಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಿಸಲು ನಾವ್ಯಾರು ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಮೀರಿ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಇರುವವರೆಗೂ ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪೋಷಕರಂತೆ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಷ್ಟಗಳಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ವೀಸಾ ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸದ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಮನಕೊಡಿ. ವೀಸಾ ವಿಸ್ತರಣೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾವೇ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡಿ ತಿಳಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಭಾರತ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ಕುಲಪತಿ ಹೇಮಂತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಭೇಟಿ ಬಳಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಅಫ್ಘಾನ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ನಾವು ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷೇಮವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಮ್ಮ ಚಿತ್ತ ಮಾತ್ರ ಆಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಭೀತಿ ಮೇಲಿದೆ. ನಾವು ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಅವರು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಒಂದೇ ” ಓದನ್ನು ಬಿಡಬೇಡಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಡಿ. ಸದ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಕ್ಷೇಮವಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬಸ್ಥರು ಮನೆಯಿಂದ ಹೊರ ಬಾರದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಉಂಟಾಗಿದೆ. ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಧಕ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಅಶಾಂತಿಯ ವಾತಾವರಣ ಸರಿಯಾಗುವ ಭರವಸೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಸಮುದಾಯ ಅಫ್ಘಾನ್ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಬೇಕು. ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೆಲವೇ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವೀಸಾ ಅವಧಿ ಮುಗಿಯಲಿದ್ದು, ಭಾರತ ನಮ್ಮ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಬರಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಕುಟುಂಬದಂತೆ ಇರಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಯಿಂದ ನಮಗೆ ನೈತಿಕ ಬೆಂಬಲ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಭಾರತ ಹಾಗೂ ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿವಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳನ್ನ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಾಗಿ ಅಫ್ಘನ್ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

UoM VC assures safety of Afghan students: Students thank University
Mysuru, August 17, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): As the news of Taliban terrorists taking over Afghanistan into their power causing tension across entire Afghanistan, Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, has assured to solve all the problems Afghan students studying in the University.
The students from Afghanistan who are studying at the University of Mysore met the Vice-Chancellor today and discussed the situation. Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar asked them to be brave and assured to protect them under any kind of circumstances. He advised them to concentrate on their studies till they are here, and also assured them that he would talk to the authorities concerned in case if anybody’s Visa has expired.
The Afghan students have thanked the State and Union Governments’, and the University for all the support given to them.
