Mysuru, September 25, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The countdown for the world-famous Mysuru Dasara festivities has commenced. The list of cultural programs in the palace has been prepared.
The famous ‘Jetti Kaalaga’ (wrestling) is canceled this year also. The assembling of the golden throne inside the palacewill be done on October 1. Entry for visitors will be restricted on that day.
The Palace Dasara programs will be held from October 7 to 14, and entry of visitors has been restricted from October 7 to October 15, till 2.30 pm. The Private Durbar (Khaasagi Durbar) will begin on October 7, which will be held by the present prince Yaduveer Krishnadutta Chamaraja Wadiyar.
The ‘Ayudha Puja’ program will be held on October 14 and the puja rituals will commence from 5.30 am. The palace weapons will be taken to the Kodi Someshwara temple inside the Palace premises at 7.45 am, where puja will be held. After that, the weapons will be shifted to the Palace Wedding hall. The puja will be performed between 11.02 am and 11.22 am.
The Vijayadashami programs will be held on October 15. The world-renowned Dasara procession will be held from 7.20 am to 7.40 am starting from the Palace main entrance to the Bhuvaneshwari temple inside the palace premises. Prince Yaduveer Krishnadutta Chamaraja Wadiyar will offer puja to the ‘Banni tree’ as per the tradition. The golden throne will be dismantled on October 31 and shifted to the treasury. Entry to the visitors will be restricted on that day also up to 1.30 pm.
