Mysuru, October 7, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The historic Mysuru Dasara celebrations was conducted in a grand way this year successfully. The dasara jumbos which had taken part in the Dasara procession were seen off by the district administration by offering traditional pooja.
The dasara jumbos led by Captain Abhimany had arrived at Mysuru and had were sheltered at the Mysuru palace about one and a half month ago. The lead dasara jumbo Abhimanyu led the other tuskers by carrying 750 kg golden howda. The whole Dasara events were witnessed by lakhs of people.
Traditional poojas were offered to the jumbos at the Ambavilasa palace premises by the district administration today. Deputy Commissioner Bagadi Gowtham, DCF Karikalan and other forest department officials were present. The Forest Department officials and staff were felicitated by the district administration.
