ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಯ ಆನಗೋಳದ ಕನಕದಾಸ ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಹಾನಿಯಾದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಮಾಜಿ ಸಿಎಂ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಿದರು. ನೂತನವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರತಿಮೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾಪಿಸಿದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿ ರಾಯಣ್ಣನಿಗೆ ನಮನ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.
ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ, ಎಂಇಎಸ್ ನವರು ಪುಂಡರು, ಯಾವುದೇ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಎಂಇಎಸ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಕಠಿಣಕ್ರಮದ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಎಂಇಎಸ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕೊಡವೇಕು. ಎಂಇಎಸ್ ಬ್ಯಾನ್ ಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತಾಯವಿದೆ. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನು ಅಧಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ . ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಗಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಈ ಸರ್ಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುಪ್ತಚರ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸತ್ತು ಹೋಗಿದೆ. ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಭಯವಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಾನೂನು ಸುವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಮಯ್ಯ ಕಿಡಿಕಾರಿದರು.

Belagavi, December 20, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Leader of opposition in the assembly Siddaramaiah said that strict action should be initiated against the MES activists who vandalized the statue of Krantiveera Sangolli Rayanna, and he would raise the issue in the assembly.
The former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the spot at Kanakadasa Colony in Angola in Belagavi, where the incident took place and inspected. He also visited the new spot where the new statue is installed and offered his tributes.
“The MES hooligans are not scared about anyone. Stringent action should be taken against them. We should be allowed to protest against the MES. There is a demand to ban the MES. I will discuss this in the assembly. I will draw the attention of the government towards this matter. The intelligence department in this government is dead. The MES activists are not at all scared about the police, the law, and order situation in the State is not in control,” he alleged.
