Mysuru, Jan. 09, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “The New Education Policy -2020 is a guide for the transformation of the education system of India. It is considered as one of the most practical education policy, which has been prepared after considering more than 2 lakh suggestions from across the country,” opined Dr. C.S. Ashwathnarayan, Deputy Chief Minister and Higher Education Minister, Government of Karnataka.
He was speaking at the one-day International seminar on the topic ‘Implementation of National Education Policy – 2020 in Karnataka, opportunities and the way forward,’ a programme held at the Vignana Bhavana in Manasagangotri in Mysuru today, organised by the Karnataka State University Teachers Association, University of Mysore, in association with the Karnataka State Open University and Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Education, and Social Research Centre.
“The New Education Policy -2020 is the most practical policy and is helpful in fulfilling the dreams of the future generations of our country amidst the global health crisis. It will the result of an effective democracy process in Indian history. Identifying the special capabilities of every student and developing it, giving them an option to learn what they are interested in are a few among the major highlights of this policy,” he opined.
Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, R. Shivappa, Registrar, Dr. S. Vidyashankar, Chancellor, KSOU, Dr. Lingaraj Gandhi, Registrar, Dr. Raghu Akamunchi, President, KRMSS, Shivanand Sindanakere, General Secretary, IBRSM were present on the occasion.
