Bengaluru, March 12, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): Former Prime Minister H.D. Devegowda today informed that JDS will not make any alliance with any party in the next assembly elections.
He addressed a press meet at the JDS office, located in J.P. Nagar, Bengaluru today. “The assembly election results of the five states have favored BJP. I won’t like to speak about the State Congress party. BJP came to power at the center after Manmohan Singh and has not looked back since then. It is a fact. I have observed the BJP’s budget. They have allocated Rs.5,000 crore for the Upper Krishna Project, what is it for? The state BJP also has announced Rs.3,000 crore for the drinking water project for my native district. The total project cost is Rs. 8,000 crores. What can they achieve in Rs.3,000 crore? I had allocated money for the Kaveri basin when I was the PM,” he explained.
Replying to a question on the probability of early election he said, ‘Why Not? We are ready to face the elections. But that is not so easy. Even Yediyurappa has also told the same. It is also not so easy to make it successful according to me,” he added.
