ಮೈಸೂರು,ಮಾರ್ಚ್,22,2021(www.justkannada.in) : ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧನ ಪಂಚಶೀಲ ತತ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲನೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯ, ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯೇ ಬೇಕಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಡಾ.ಮೂಡ್ನಕೂಡು ಚಿನ್ನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ ತತ್ತ್ವಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ವಿಭಾಗ, ನಳಂದ ಬೌದ್ಧ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾನಿಲಯ, ಇಂಟರ್ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಬುದ್ಧಿಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಂಕ್ಸ್ ಚಾರಿಟಬಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್ ಸಹಯೋಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನಸಗಂಗೋತ್ರಿಯ ಮಾನವಿಕ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ‘ಬೌದ್ಧ ಧಮ್ಮದ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ನೈತಿಕ ಕಳಕಳಿ’ ವಿಷಯ ಕುರಿತ ಮೂರು ದಿನದ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವಿಚಾರ ಸಂಕಿರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ಆತ್ಮ ಎಂಬುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಆತ್ಮ, ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ, ಜಾತಿ ಎಂಬುದು ಇಲ್ಲ. ಯುದ್ಧಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದವರು ಬೌದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬೌದ್ಧ ಹೇಳಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೆಲವೊಬ್ಬರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಆತ್ಮ, ಪರಮಾತ್ಮ ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ, ಬುದ್ಧ ಹೇಳಿರುವುದೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪನಿಷತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದು ತಪ್ಪು ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ ಪಠಣದಿಂದ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಸುಳ್ಳು
ಹಿರಿಯ ಸಾಹಿತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ವಿಷ್ಣು ಸಹಸ್ರನಾಮ ಪಠಣ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ರೋಗದಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತನಾದೇ ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಇದೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಸುಳ್ಳು. ಇರುವುದನ್ನು ಇರುವಾಗಿಯೇ ಬುದ್ಧ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು, ಅಲೌಕಿಕವಾದದ್ದು ಯಾವುದನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆವಹಿಸಿದವರು, ಕಚೇರಿಗೆ ತೆರಳುವವರು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೆಲಸ ಇಲ್ಲದವರು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿಕ್ಸೂಚಿ ಭಾಷಣ ಹಿಂದಿಕ್ಕಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಶಿಸ್ತು ಮರೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಾಹಿತಿ ಮೂಡ್ನಾಕೂಡು ಚಿನ್ನಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಬೇಸರ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.

‘Courts, Police Stations were not required”: Litterateur Dr. Moodnakadu Chinnaswamy
Mysuru, Mar. 22, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “If Buddha’s Panchasheela principles would have been followed, there wouldn’t have been the need of having courts and police stations at all,” opined litterateur Dr. Moodnakadu Chinnaswamy.
He inaugurated a three-day national seminar on the topic, ‘Social and Philosophical Concerns of Buddhism,’ organized jointly by the Department of Philosophical Research, University of Mysore, and the International Buddhist Monks Charitable Trust, in Mysuru today.
In his address, he opined, “Atma (soul) is false, there is nothing called the Atma, Brahma, caste. Those who refused war became Buddhists. A few people say that all that has been preached by Buddha exists in the Upanishad. But the Upanishad consists Atma, Paramatma concept. Therefore, it is wrong to say that everything that Buddha has told exists in the Upanishad.
