ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಸೆಪ್ಟಂಬರ್,18,2020(www.justkannada.in): ಕೊರೋನದಂತಹ ಸಂದರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ವೈದ್ಯರು ಮುಷ್ಕರ ಹೂಡುವುದು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆಯಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಮುಷ್ಕರ ಹಿಪಡೆಯುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ. ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕಾಡುಗೊಂಡನಹಳ್ಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಡಾ.ಬಿ.ಆರ್. ಅಂಬೇಡ್ಕರ್‌ ಮೆಡಿಕಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪ್ರಯೋಗಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರವನ್ನು ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿ ಸಚಿವ ಡಾ.ಕೆ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು.
ವೇತನ ಪರಿಷ್ಕರಣೆ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ. ಈ ಸಂಬಂಧ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಬಾರಿ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಸಭೆಯ ನಿರ್ಣಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಹುಪಾಲು ಒಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆದರೂ ಮುಷ್ಕರ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎನ್ನುವ ಹಠ ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. ಕೊರೋನಾ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವೈದ್ಯರ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮಹತ್ಚದ್ದು, ಇದನ್ನೇ ಬಂಡವಾಳ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟು ಮುಷ್ಕರ ಹೂಡುವುದು ಮಾನವೀಯತೆ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಇದು ಅವರ ವೃತ್ತಿಗೆ ಗೌರವ ತರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ವೈದ್ಯ ಸಂಘದ ಪದಾಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾವಂತರು. ಅವರು ಮುಷ್ಕರ ಕೈ ಬಿಡುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸವಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರೋನಾ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಬೇರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರೋನಾ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ 75 ಸಾವಿರ ಇದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದ ಸೋಂಕು ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಷ್ಟು ದಿನ ಕೇರಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಂಕು ಪ್ರಮಾಣವೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇತ್ತು, ಈಗ ಟೆಸ್ಟ್ ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕರಣಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು, ಆಂಧ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಿದರೆ ಕೋರೋನ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣದಲ್ಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಸುಧಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಐಸಿಯು ಬೆಡ್‌ಗಳ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ಕ್ರಮ:
ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಬೆಡ್‌ಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿರುವುದು ವೆಂಟಿಲೇಟರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಐಸಿಯೂ ಬೆಡ್‌ಗಳು. ಪ್ರಕರಣದ ತೀವ್ರತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವುಗಳ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳ ಮಾಡಲಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದರು. ನೆಲಮಂಗಲ ಬಳಿಯ ಅತಿ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಕೇರ್‌ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ ಮುಚ್ಚಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆತಂಕಕ್ಕೆ ಒಳಗಾಗುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಇಲ್ಲ. ರೋಗ ಲಕ್ಷಣವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಇರುವವರನ್ನು ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಐಸೋಲೇಷನ್ ಮಾಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೆ ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಕೇರ್‌ ಸೆಂಟರ್‌ ಅನ್ನು ಪುನಾರಾಂಭಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Doctors’ strike: Dr Sudhakar makes a case for humanity
Hon’ble Medical Education Minister Dr K. Sudhakar expressed confidence that the doctors will withdraw the agitation. It is not humane to use the Covid-19 pandemic situation for one’s gain, he said.
He was speaking to media persons after inaugurating Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory (MDL) and sill training centre at Dr B. R. Ambedkar Medical College, Kodugondanahalli.
The minister said that several meetings have been conducted so far regarding revision of salaries, a foremost demand of the doctors. While they have agreed to the resolution of the meetings it is not acceptable to be continuing with the agitation, he said. The part played by the doctors during the fight against coronavirus is of great importance. It does not bring dignity to the medical profession if this is used for the fulfilment of their demands. He expressed confidence that the office bearers of Karnataka Government Medical Officers’ Association will withdraw the strike.
More tests in Karnataka
Compared to other states, Dr Sudhakar said, Karnataka’s Coronavirus test is 75,000 per day. Due to this, the state seems to record more cases. So far, Kerala’s count of cases was less due to less number of tests. The cases on the high in Kerala due to increased testing capacity, he added and said that Coronavirus is under control in Karnataka in comparison with Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.
Measures to increase ICU beds
He said that though there are more general beds in the hospital, the state requires ventilators and ICU beds. This will be increased as per the intensity of cases, he explained. Referring to the shut down of COVID care centre at Nelamangala, he assured that there is no need to panic. The COVID Care centre will be reopened if the situation demands, he added.
