Bengaluru, July 28, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “Only the Chief Minister has changed in the state, not the party. It is still the BJP that is in power in the state,” opined former minister and Hirekeruru MLA B.C. Patil.
He visited the newly nominated CM Basavaraj Bommai and wished him all the best. Later speaking to the press reporters he said, “the new CM has been selected under the guidance of the outgoing CM B.S. Yediyurappa. The party will continue having the guidance of Yediyurappa. BJP will come to power again in the state. I don’t know whether I will remain a minister or not. It is left to the Chief Minister and the party leaders to decide. But Yediyurappa’s guidance will continue as before, and it is wrong to consider it as a shadow. B.S. Yediyurappa is a very senior and experienced politician. Basavaraj Bommai has also informed us that all of us will work under the guidance of B.S. Yediyurappaji,” he explained.
“Nobody of us is putting pressure to get a ministerial berth. We have come to Bengaluru with trust. However, we have faith in the BJP National leaders,” B.C. Patil said.
