Bengaluru, Sept. 27, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): “If you want power, withdraw the amended agriculture bill, otherwise people will ditch you,” farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar warned the Govt. of India.
A call for Bharath Bundh has been given opposing the amended agriculture bill of the Govt. of India, which is supported by several farmers’ organizations and the Congress party. The protest march in Bengaluru commenced from the Town Hall and will conclude at Freedom Park.
Speaking on the occasion, farmer leader Kodihalli Chandrashekar said that the government is attempting to make the bundh a failure. “That is why it is running KSRTC and BMTC buses. Farmers across the country are opposing the amended agriculture bill. This voice should reach Modi. We are protesting peacefully, and the government should cooperate, it should withdraw the amended bill,” he demanded.
The K.R. Puram Traders Federation has extended its support to the protest. The protestors demonstrated under the leadership of K.R. Puram Regulated Market President Yele Srinivas, wearing gunny bags.
