Mysuru, Jan. 25, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): Mysuru appears to be a ‘Plastic-free city’ just for namesake. Plastic waste strewn around appears everywhere across the city. Stray cattle and other animals are facing danger as a result of this.
People have continued throwing vegetables and other waste in plastic carry bags everywhere, which is causing harm to the stray animals that consume it. Improper implementation of ‘plastic ban’ is the main reason for this.
Though MCC staff are collecting dry and wet waste from individual houses, improper disposal of garbage thrown streets is causing a problem. Failure of warning the owners of stray cattle and other animals is also causing danger for the animals.
People of the city have requested the authorities concerned to warn the owners of stray cattle and other animals not to allow them on the streets and feed them properly.
