Mysuru, October 21, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The cultural capital of the State Mysuru is witnessing incessant rains for the last few days. As a result, a portion of the earth sank atop the Chamundi hills.
Heavy rains lashed Mysuru city yesterday night, resulting in sinking of a portion of the earth on the road leading to the Nandi statue from the Chamundi hill. The incident has taken place near the ‘Welcome’ illumination as part of the Dasara Mahotsav. The Myusru City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta has prohibited the movement of vehicles and people on the road.
Several roads were inundated in rainwater as rains lashed the city yesterday night, causing a lot of problems to the movement of vehicles. Two-wheelers were found sunk in the rainwater on Ashoka road and near the clock tower.
Mysuru District In-charge Minister has instructed the Deputy Commissioner to take measures to repair the portion of the earth and road that has sunk on the way to Chamundi hill.
