Mysuru, October 18, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The University of Mysore, under the auspices of the Karnataka Media Academy, and the Mysuru District Journalists Association, has organized a program on October 21, Thursday, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Prof. Nadig Krishnamurthy, a pioneer in Journalism education.
The program will be held at the Seminar Hall, Vignana Bhavan, in Manasaganogtri campus, of the University of Mysore, at 10.30 am. Prof. G. Hemanth Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, will inaugurate the program. S.T. Ravikumar, President, Mysuru District Journalists Association, will be the chief guest, and K. Sadashiva Shenoi, President, Karnataka Media Academy, will preside.
Prof. K.V. Nagaraj, former Associate Chancellor, Central University, located at Silchar in Assam, will deliver a special lecture on the topic, ” Reminisces of Prof. Nadig and the Future of Journalism Education,” according to a press release issued by Prof. Niranjan Vanalli, Head, Journalism and Mass Communication Department, University of Mysore.
