Mysuru, November 20, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): The people of Mysuru District are suffering a lot due to the incessant rain, which is lashing the city for the last one week, causing havoc. The Mysuru District In-charge Minister S.T. Somashekar has provided the details of the loss incurred due to the rains.
About 500 hectares of crop loss is reported in the district due to the rains. As many as 1994 houses are damaged, out of which 1907 houses are partially, and 87 completely damaged. While 500 km road in the city area is damaged, 67 schools and 33 primary health care center buildings are damaged. Three people have lost their lives, as informed by the District In-charge Minister S.T. Somashekar.
“Instructions have been given to the Deputy Commissioner to assess the exact loss in monetary terms and provide compensation. The Deputy Commissioner Mysuru has already provided complete details to the Chief Minister and we have requested to provide special grants,” the District In-charge Minister added.
