Bengaluru, Dec. 12, 2020 (www.justkannada.in): Dharmastala Dharmadhikari Dr. Veerendra Heggade has appealed to Chief Minister B.S. Yedyurappa, to rename the Karnataka State Bewerages Corporation Limited as Alcohol De-addiction Awareness and Advisory Board.
In his letter to the Chief Minister, Dr. Veerendra Heggade has stated that the Karnataka State Bewerages Corporation Limited has been involved in organizing alcohol deaddiction camps, in association with the Akhila Karnataka Janjagruti Vedike, a subsidiary of the Sri Kshetra Dharamastala Rural Development Programme. It is noticed that many youngsters who come to the camps and admit to the alcohol de-addiction treatment centers have fallen prey to narcotics as well, which is a very alarming issue. Hence, he has requested the Chief Minister to rename the Corporation and extend its activities.
