Bengaluru, January 05, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The construction works of one lakh houses under the Rajiv Gandhi Housing Corporation scheme, in Bengaluru, is crucial. I request the authorities, including the Bangalore Development Authority and other departments concerned, to work quickly and join hands with our efforts,” opined Housing Minister V. Somanna.
He presided over a meeting held at the BDA office today to discuss the requirements of the Scheme under which one lakh houses are being constructed in Bengaluru in phases. In his address, he discussed in detail the blueprint, approvals, building, legal hurdles, etc., and measures are taken to solve the problem. He opined that the role of BDA in this program was very huge.
He advised the officials concerned to expedite the various developmental works undertaken by the BDA in his constituency and also take up the pending works and complete them at the earliest.
BDA Chairman S.R. Vishwanath, BBMP Chief Commissioner Gourav Gupta, BDA Commissioner M.B. Rajeshgowda, engineering member Shantaramanna, finance member Ram Prasad, Urban Planner Dhananjay Reddy, and other officials were present in the meeting.
