New Delhi, September 22, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): The Hon’ble Supreme Court has reserved the judgement of the appeal submitted questioning the High Court order over the Hijab row.
The High Court of Karnataka had upheld the Govt. of Karnataka’s orders prohibiting wearing of Hijab in schools and Colleges. An appeal was made in the Hon’ble Supreme Court questioning the High Court order. After 10 days of hearing of the appeal, after hearing to the arguments of the advocate representing the appeal and the Government prosecutor, the two-member bench of the Hon’ble Supreme Court has reserved the judgement.
The Muslim girl students had appealed in the High Court questioning the Government of Karnataka’s orders instructing the educational institutions to implement the Uniform Code. The Hon’ble High Court had upheld the order of the government, following which the students had appealed in the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
