ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು,ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ,14,2025 (www.justkannada.in): ಬಹುಧ್ರುವೀಕರಣದ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಕೂಡಾ ಮೂಲ ಉದ್ದೇಶದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಸಮಾನತೆ, ತಾರತಮ್ಯಗಳು ಅಲ್ಲೂ ಇದ್ದು, ಅದನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರಷ್ಟೇ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಸಂಸದ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಜಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಶಶಿ ತರೂರ್ ಶುಕ್ರವಾರ ಪ್ರತಿಪಾದಿಸಿದರು.
‘ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಹೂಡಿಕೆದಾರರ ಸಮಾವೇಶ’ (ಜಿಮ್-25)’ದಲ್ಲಿ ‘ಪ್ರಕ್ಷುಬ್ಧತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವರ್ಧಮಾನ: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಗಳು ಹೇಗೆ ಸವಾಲು ಎದುರಿಸಬಹುದು’ ಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಚಾರ ಮಂಡಿಸಿದ ಅವರು, ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಕೂಡಾ ನಾವು ಬದುಕುತ್ತಿರುವ ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಕನ್ನಡಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಪೂರೈಕೆ ಸರಣಿಯ ಸ್ವರೂಪ ಬದಲಾಗಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ತೋರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟಿತು. ಕೋವಿಡ್ ನಂತರದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ನಾಯಕರು ಗಡಿಯಾಚಿನ ವಿಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಬಲರಾಗುವ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಗಡಿರೇಖೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಆಂತರಿಕವಾಗಿ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾಗಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತರೂರ್ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು.
ಪ್ರಜಾತಂತ್ರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಉತ್ತಮಗೊಳ್ಳುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮತದಾರರು ಸುಶಿಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗುವುದು ಅತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ನೀಡಿ, ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದಲ್ಲಿ, ದಕ್ಷ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ರಚನೆ ಖಾತರಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸಮಾಜದ ತಳವರ್ಗದ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಖರೀದಿ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಅತಿ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರ 80 ಕೋಟಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಉಚಿತ ಆಹಾರಧಾನ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಅಂದರೆ, ಇದರರ್ಥ ಇಷ್ಟು ಭಾರಿ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಖರೀದಿ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯಪಟ್ಟರು.
ಜಗತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಭಾರತ ಅತಿಹೆಚ್ಚು ನಿರುದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಯುವಜನರನ್ನು ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಗೊಳಿಸುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಬದಲಾಗಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಏನನ್ನು ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದರ ಬದಲಿಗೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಚಿಂತಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ. ಯುವಜನರನ್ನು ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಪೂರ್ಣರನ್ನಾಗಿಸಿ, ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ದೊರಕಿಸಬೇಕಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.
ಕೃತಕ ಬುದ್ಧಿಮತ್ತೆ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನದ ಬಳಕೆಯಿಂದ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಕೆಲವೇ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರಿ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಯಾಗಲಿದ್ದು, ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಯುವಜನರನ್ನು ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಬೇಡಿಕೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಸಜ್ಜುಗೊಳಿಸುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಉದ್ಯೋಗ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶೇಕಡ 30ರಷ್ಟು ಉದ್ಯೋಗಗಳು ಇನ್ನು ಐದು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣ್ಮರೆಯಾಗಲಿವೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಗ್ರೀಸ್ ಮಾಜಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಜಾರ್ಜ್ ಎ. ಪಪಾಂಡ್ರೂ, ಉತ್ತಮ, ಆದರ್ಶ ಪ್ರಜಾಪ್ರಭುತ್ವ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ತನ್ನ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ಇಡಬೇಕು; ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಜಾತಂತ್ರ ಜತೆಜತೆಯಾಗಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆಯಬೇಕು ಎಂದರು.
ಉತ್ತಮ ಪ್ರಜಾತಂತ್ರ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತರದಾಯತ್ವ ಮತ್ತು ಪಾರದರ್ಶಕತೆ ಅತಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ. ಇವುಗಳ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿಯೇ ಗ್ರೀಸ್ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ಎದುರಿಸಬೇಕಾಯಿತು. ಗ್ರೀಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರ ಹಣ ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರ ಹಿತಾಸಕ್ತಿಗೆ ವಿನಿಯೋಗವಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳ ಗಮನ ಕೇವಲ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದರತ್ತಲೇ ಇತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಾದಾಗ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟ ತಲೆದೋರುವುದು ಸಹಜ ಎಂದರು.

Even the UN Grapples With Inequality and Disparity, Says Shashi Tharoor
Bengaluru: Shashi Tharoor, Member of Parliament and chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on External Affairs, on Friday, said that even the United Nations has been grappling with inequality and disparity.
Speaking at the “Global Investors’ Meet (GIM-25)”, Tharoor argued that only by realising such harsh realities can alternate global systems be considered.
In his address, Tharoor revealed how the COVID-19 crisis exposed shifts in global supply chains and stressed that post-pandemic, world leaders are focusing more on increasing their strengths within their own borders than tackling global challenges.
He also pointed to India’s poverty, where despite government efforts like free food for 80 crore people, the majority still lack purchasing power.
Tharoor called for a radical overhaul of India’s education system to prepare youth for the future job market, especially as AI and automation threaten to make 30% of global jobs obsolete in the next five years. “India has the highest unemployment rate in the world, and to empower the youth, our education system needs a complete overhaul,” he said.
He also stressed the importance of critical thinking in education, urging educational institutions to focus on teaching students “how to think” rather than “what to think.”
Former Greek Prime Minister George A Papandreou, also speaking at the event, echoed Tharoor’s sentiments on democracy, emphasising the need for transparency and accountability in governance—qualities that were notably absent during Greece’s economic collapse. “In Greece, public funds were not invested in the welfare of the people. Politicians focused solely on retaining power, which inevitably led to the economic crisis,” he said.
