ಮಂಗಳೂರು,ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್,31,2020(www.justkannada.in): ಕಾನೂನುಬಾಹಿರವಾಗಿ ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಕಸ್ಟಮ್ಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಬಂಧಿಸಿ 1.26 ಕೆ.ಜಿ ಚಿನ್ನ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮೊಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಜಹೀರ್ ಅನೀಜ್ ಹಾಗೂ ವಸಿಂ ಮರ್ಜನ್ ಬಂಧಿತರು, ಇವರು ದುಬೈನಿಂದ ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಅಂತರರಾಷ್ಟಿಂಯ ವಿಮಾನ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದದ್ದರು. ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಗುದದ್ವಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂದಾಜು ರೂ.೬೪,೧೩,೪೦೦ ಮೌಲ್ಯದ ೧.೨೬ ಕೆಜಿಗಳಷ್ಟು ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಅನುಮಾನಾಸ್ಪದವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡು ಬಂದ ಮೇರೆಗೆ ಈ ಇಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ತಡೆದು ತಪಾಸಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದಾಗ ಪ್ರಕರಣ ಬಯಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಡಾ. ಕಪಿಲ್ ಗಡ್ಗೆ, ಐಆರ್‌ಎಸ್, ಉಪ ಆಯುಕ್ತರ ಮುಂದಾಳತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಂತಹ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ತಂಡದ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಕೆ, ಸೂಪರಿಂಟೆಂಡೆಂಟ್, ಬಿಕ್ರಂ ಚಕ್ರಬರ್ತಿ, ಸೂಪರಿಂಟೆಂಡೆಂಟ್, ಪ್ರಫುಲ್ ಮಿಠಲ್, ಇನ್ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರರನ್ನು, ಶ್ರೀ ಇಮಾಮುದ್ದಿನ್ ಅಹ್ಮದ್, ಕಸ್ಟಮ್ಸ್ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು, ಶ್ರೀ ಜೊನೆಸ್ ಜಾರ್ಜ್, ಐಆರ್‌ಎಸ್ ಹಾಘೂ ಜಂಟಿ ಆಯುಕ್ತರು ಇವರು ಶ್ಲಾಘಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ENGLISH SUMMARY…
Sleuts of Mangalore Air Customs, had arrested 2 passengers, Mr. Muhammed Zahir Aneez and Mr. Wasim Marzan; who had arrived at MIA from Dubai via flight IX 1814 on 30.12.2020.
Upon interception and investigation, the pax were found to have smuggled 1.26 kgs of gold worth 64,13,400 approx by way of rectal concealment.
Commssioner of Customs, Shri Imamuddin Ahmed, IRS and Joint Commissioner Shri Joannes George,IRS had congratulated the officers of Mangalore Air Customs team lead which is by Dr.Kapil Gade IRS, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent Shrikanth.K, Superintendent Bikram Chakraborty, Inspectore Praful Mittal and others; for their vigilant action in preventing the smuggling activities.
