Bengaluru, September 7, 2022 (www.justkannada.in): “The Energy Minister should stop spreading lies about our government, and issue a white paper immediately, and pass resolution in the next cabinet session refusing implementation of the Union Power Bill regarding installation of meters to the farmers pumpsets,” demanded leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah.
In a press statement, the former CM stated, “as per the statement given by Energy Minister Sunil Kumar to the media persons, a plan was made to install meters to the farmers pumpsets when there was Congress government in the State. Our government had left huge amount loan on the state and the Energy Department. He has also alleged that we had purchased solar power at an abnormal rate. However, the State has earned profits now from sale of solar power. He has claimed this government is successfully managing it. I have to answer after any statements are issued. I demand an answer from him in the form of a white paper,” he said.
He alleged that the Modi government is planning to install meters to the farmers pumpsets by introducing a new Energy bill, which already been presented in the Parliament. They had prepared it during the Corona pandemic time itself and had invited for a discussion just for name sake. If our government had introduced such a law and cheated the farmers let them release the document,” he demanded.
