ಮೈಸೂರು,ಜನವರಿ,01,2020(www.justkannada.in) : ಓದುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ಥಳವಿಲ್ಲದಂತಹ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯೊಬ್ಬಳು ಕಷ್ಟಪಡುವುದ ಕಂಡು ಮರುಗಿದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಗೆ ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಸೂರು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗುರು ಕೇವಲ ಬೋಧಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಶಿಷ್ಯನ ಕೈ ಹಿಡಿದು ಗುರಿಯತ್ತ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎನ್ನುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಕ್ಕರಹಳ್ಳಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆಯ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ವಾಣಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೆ.ಹೆಮ್ಮನಹಳ್ಳಿ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ(SSLC) ಆರ್.ರಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತೆ. ಆದರೆ, ಕಡು ಬಡತನ, ಬಾಡಿಗೆ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೂಲಿ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ನಂಬಿದ ಪೋಷಕರು, ಆರಾಮವಾಗಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಓದುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದಂತಹ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದರು.
ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯಾದ ಆರ್.ರಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಒಲವು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ವಾಣಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯ ಬಡತನದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ತಿಳಿದು ಬೇಸರಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಗೆ ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ನೆರವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂಬ ಸದುದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈಲಾದ ನೆರವು ನೀಡುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕವಾಗಿ ಸಭಲರಾಗಿರುವ ಅನೇಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಸೋತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ವಾಣಿ ಅವರು ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಪತಿ ಮಹಾರಾಣಿ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಸ್ನಾತಕೋತ್ತರ ವಿಭಾಗದ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಡಾ.ಹೇಮಚಂದ್ರ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವವರಿದ್ದರೆ ತಿಳಿಸುವಂತೆ ಕೋರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯ ಹಿತದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಿಂದ ತಾವು ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿರುವ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಎಂಬ ವಾಟ್ಸಾಪ್ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಗೆ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೋರಿ ಡಾ.ಪಿ.ಎನ್.ಹೇಮಚಂದ್ರ ಸಂದೇಶ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ನ ಅಡ್ಮಿನ್ ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಗುಂಪಿನ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸಕರಾತ್ಮಕವಾಗಿ ಸ್ಪಂದಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಎಲ್.ಜಿ ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯ ಮನೆಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ವಾಸ್ತವ ಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಅರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯ ಓದಿಗೆ ಅನುಕೂಲವಾಗುವಂತೆ 2 ಲಕ್ಷ ರೂ. ನೀಡಿ ಗಣಗರಹುಂಡಿ ಎಂಬ ಗ್ರಾಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ಭೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಓದಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯವಾಗಲೆಂದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯ ಖಾತೆಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 40 ಸಾವಿರ ರೂ. ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವುದೇ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗದ ಕಾರ್ಯ…!
ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ವಿಜಯನಗರ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ 40 ಮಂದಿ ಸಮಾನ ಮನಸ್ಕರ ಗುಂಪು ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗವಾಗಿದೆ. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ಯಾಪಾರಿಗಳು,ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು, ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
‘’ಬುಲೆಟ್ ರೈಡ್’’ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ
ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಓದಿಗೆ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಂದ ಧನಸಹಾಯಸುಮಾರು 8 ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ 40 ಗೆಳೆಯರು ಸೇರಿ ವಾರ್ಷಿಕವಾಗಿ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ‘’ಬುಲೆಟ್ ರೈಡ್’’ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಯಾಣದ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂಚರಿಸಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಶೌಚಾಲಯ, ಪೀಠೋಪಕರಣ, ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳು, ಸೋಲಾರ್, ಬೋರ್ ವೆಲ್ ಹೀಗೆ ಅನೇಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳಿಗೆ ಸುಮಾರು 7 ರಿಂದ 8 ಲಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ಖರ್ಚು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದಾಗಿ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗ್ರೂಪ್ ಅಡ್ಮಿನ್ ಸೋಮಶೇಖರ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಕೊರೋನಾ ದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಯಾವುದೇ ಶಾಲೆಗೆ ತೆರಳಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ನಡುವೆ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾನ್ವಿತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಆರ್.ರಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಅವರ ನೆರವಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಕೋರಿದ ಕಾರಣ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಆರ್.ರಕ್ಷಿತಾ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾವಂತ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಅವಳ ಓದಿಗೆ ತೊಂದರೆಯಾಗಬಾರದು ಎಂಬ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗದವರ ನೆರವು ಕೋರಿ ಸೂರು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯ ಓದಿಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವು ನೀಡಿ ಸಹಕರಿಸಿ ಎಲ್.ಜಿ.ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಋಣಿ. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾದ ಆರ್.ಕೃಷ್ಣಪ್ಪ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಗಳು ಅವರು ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕಿ ಬಿ.ಆರ್.ವಾಣಿ ಕೃತಜ್ಞತೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದರು.

‘WhatsApp group that provided shelter to girl student: Thumbs up to teacher!
Mysuru, Jan. 01, 2021 (www.justkannada.in): This is a tale of a teacher who helped a talented girl student, hailing from a poor family, who didn’t have even a proper place to study find shelter.
The relationship between a teacher and a student is known to be most precious, especially in Indian culture. It has been proven time and again from ancient times. A teacher doesn’t only teach, but he or she also guides students towards a bright future. Here is one such example of a model teacher.
Her name is B.R. Vani, who is serving as an English teacher at the Kukkarahalli Govt. High School, in Mysuru. The name of the student is R. Rakshita. She is a very talented girl and good at studies. She is studying SSLC in the Govt. school. But she hails from a very poor family, which won’t even own a proper place to live. Her house is so small that she can’t even sit calmly and study.
The teacher B.R. Vani was very affectionate about Rakshita. The teacher knew about her student’s family condition and was very sad about it. She somehow thought of helping her. She approached many of her wealthy friends and known persons for financial help, in vain.
Once the teacher B.R. Vani shared about her student’s condition with her husband Dr. Hemachandra, who is serving as a professor in the PG Department, at the illustrious Maharani College in Mysuru and had asked him to find out if there is someone willing to help her student.
Dr. Hemachandra shared a message regarding this in one of his WhatsApp group called ‘L.G. Group’. The group admin Mr. Somashekar along with others of the group responded positively.
The L.G. Group members once visited the student’s house to know and assess reality. As a result of this, they were able to collect a sum of Rs. 2 lakh and helped Rakshita’s family members to find a house for lease in Gangarahundi Village. They also deposited a sum of Rs. 40,000 to Rakshita’s bank account for her learning needs.
The L.G. Group is a WhatsApp group comprising about 40 like-minded people who stay in various districts, including Vijayanagara, in Mysuru. There are businessmen, workers, government employees, and others in the group.
This group has been organising a programme titled ‘Bullet Ride’ for the last 8 years. All the 40 friends in the group visit various government schools in different districts and provide financial and other kinds of help to the schools in terms of repairing toilets, providing furniture, books, solar, borewell, etc. To date, this group has spent a sum of Rs. 7 to 8 lakh for such purposes, according to group admin Somashekar. Due to Corona, the group couldn’t visit any school this year. In the meantime following the request made by teacher Vani, they made efforts to help the student R. Rakshita.
The teacher B.R. Vani has thanked wholeheartedly the members of the L.G. group for their earnest help.
